I'm currently an undergraduate in philosophy. My major philosophical interests are in logic, and I hope to pursue graduate work in logic leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in philosophy after graduating with a B.A. To be recognized as a logician and to carry out research in logic, is this the correct path? Logic is an area in mathematics and computer science as well as philosophy. This said, can I obtain an academic career as a Logician with a Ph.D in philosophy where my doctoral work is in logic? Or do Logicians need to obtain a doctorate in Mathematics? genji monogatari - murasaki shikibu The most beautiful thing to experience is the mysterious.
